Cheeseburger Sliders with Original Mustard Sauce

  • 2 lb lean ground beef (90/10 or 93/7)
  • 1/2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 large yellow onion, finely diced
  • 1 – 2 jalapeno’s diced
  • 1/4 cup Charlie’s Original Mustard Sauce
  • 8 slices medium cheddar cheese
  • 6 oz shredded medium cheddar cheese
  • 24 dinner rolls (Kings Hawaiian Sweet rolls)
  • 2 Tbs butter
  • 1 Tbs Sesame Seeds

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Butter the bottom of a rimmed baking sheet (large enough to hold all the rolls in one row)
  3. Place a large skillet over medium/high heat with 1/2 Tbsp olive oil. Add diced onions, garlic and jalapeno.
  4. Add ground beef and break up with spatula
  5. Saute over medium/high heat breaking up the beef and cook until cooked through, then remove from heat adding salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Tilt skillet to spoon off excess fat.
  7. Stir in Charlie’s Original Mustard Sauce
  8. Cut in Buns in half. Place bottom half of rolls on the buttered baking sheet and then cover the bread with cheddar cheese slices.
  9. Spread the ground beef mixture evenly over the dinner rolls. Use the back of a spatula to square off the edges. Cover with the shredded cheddar cheese.
  10. Place the top of buns, cut side down over the burgers. Brush the top with melted butter and immediately sprinkle tops with sesame seeds.
  11. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and tops are golden brown
